The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test (ASVAB), is a multiple choice test. It is given by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, it is used to determine your qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces.

The most important part of the ASVAB is the AFQT (Armed Force Qualification Test) score. It determines your eligibility to enlist in the U.S Armed Forces. The score also determines the bonus and incentives you can be qualified for in your enlistment contract – the higher your score, the higher rewards you can qualify for. The ASVAB can be converted into 10 other composite score areas known as “line scores” that determine what MOS an individual may qualify for. Listed below are the parts of the ASVAB that affect your AFQT test scores and each of the ten line scores.
Arlene has a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy University. She served eight years as a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer and spent her last tour as a Master Training Specialist certified instructor. In addition to tutoring her students to success, she is currently obtaining a professional teaching certificate in mathematics and science.
Deb Das is the president and the founder of ASVAB Tutoring. He has over a decade of experience in tutoring students. He has worked to find the right formula to make learning easy for everyone. Deb is an Aerospace Engineer. He has a Bachelors of Science Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's of Science Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from the City University of New York (CCNY)
Jaya is currently attending Stony Brook University, pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. She has years of experience with tutoring and has helped various students achieve success. She aspires to understand each student’s specific learning needs and fulfills them to the best of her ability. She is very committed and patient with her students, which contributes to her providing the best service.
Jayanta Mondal is one of the co-founders of ASVAB Tutoring. He has a BSc. in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University. He’s passionate about helping underrepresented populations in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields via tutoring and college mentorship. He has over 6 years of experience in tutoring high school courses and various standardized exams including ASVAB, SAT, ACT and SAT subject tests. During his time at Yale, he served as the Head Ambassador at Yale Quest Bridge Chapter to promote representation of first-generation, low income students on the campus. He plans to pursue a law degree in the future.
Kishaloy is a recent graduate from Stony Brook University, New York with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has been tutoring in NYC area past 7 years. He is a friendly and supportive person who gets excellent results by making lessons fun as well as informative. He is one of the brilliant students of the president of ASVAB Tutoring. In his free time Kishaloy likes to play soccer.
Nirma is a junior at the City College of New York studying psychology and childhood education. She hopes to start her career as an elementary school teacher. She has tutored for many years, helping students with standardized testing as well as common core material. She was also a teacher at Kumon Learning Center, where she gained experience working with children with special needs. Her goal is to create a unique teaching method catered to each student to help them learn best and succeed in school since every child is different. On the side, Nirma has been dancing from a very young age and enjoys it very much.
Partha has a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from City University of New York (City College). He has been tutoring K-12 students for the past five years with a high success rate. He helps students to overcome learning obstacles on their way to acquiring specific skills. His focus is on understanding each student’s own learning goals and how he or she likes to work. He is very flexible and friendly with students.
Pias is currently doing his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Grand Valley State University, Michigan. He has been tutoring high schoolers for the past four years, helping the students to improve their skills in the subjects they have lack confidence. His favorite activities include reading non-fiction and hiking.

Serge is a U.S Air Force prospect, who scored 97 percentiles on the AFQT. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Longwood University in Virginia. His goal is to enlist in the Space Force program after graduation. His international student-athlete background makes him a successful experienced open-minded tutor and coach willing to work with everyone pursuing success. He speaks fluently French and English, has a great sense of humor, and is ready to adapt to his student’s needs. He enjoys sports and music in his spare time.
Stephanie is currently studying to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at New York University. She has been tutoring middle schoolers and high schoolers for the past three years, helping them identify their weaknesses and strengths and working with them towards achieving their academic goal.
