Deb Das
Founder & President
Deb Das is the founder and president of ASVAB Tutoring. With over a decade of teaching experience, he has dedicated his career to simplifying learning for every student. Deb holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the City University of New York (CCNY).
He has also completed Entrepreneurship Essentials, Leading with Motivation, and Decision-Making courses from Harvard Business School Online.
As part of the NAVAIR Journey Leadership Development Program (JLDP), Deb has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to education. His mission is to make learning effective, engaging, and accessible for all.

Jayanta Das
Co-Founder
Jayanta Das is a co-founder of ASVAB Tutoring and a Biomedical Engineering graduate from Yale University. Passionate about mentoring underrepresented students in STEM, he has over six years of experience tutoring high school and college-level courses, as well as standardized exams such as the ASVAB, SAT, ACT, and SAT Subject Tests.
At Yale, Jayanta served as Head Ambassador of the Yale QuestBridge Chapter, promoting opportunities for first-generation and low-income students. He plans to pursue a law degree in the future while continuing to inspire others through education.

Partha Dey
Electrical Engineering Instructor
Partha holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York (CCNY). For the past five years, he has helped K–12 students overcome academic challenges and build strong technical foundations.
Known for his patience and adaptability, Partha tailors his approach to each student’s learning style and goals, creating a positive and productive tutoring environment.

Kishaloy Mallick
Electrical Engineer, Stony Brook University
Kishaloy earned his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University in New York and has been tutoring in the NYC area for over 7 years.
A friendly and motivating instructor, he combines fun with focus to help students achieve excellent results. Kishaloy is also one of the top students mentored by ASVAB Tutoring’s founder, Deb Das. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer.

Arlene Roy
Oceanography, U.S. Naval Academy
Arlene graduated with a B.S. in Oceanography from the U.S. Naval Academy and an M.P.A. from Troy University.
A former U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer, she served eight years in the Navy and was a Master Training Specialist–certified instructor during her final tour. Arlene now tutors aspiring students while pursuing a professional teaching certificate in mathematics and science.

Sudeshna Das
Mechanical Engineer, City College of New York
Sudeshna holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the City College of New York. With eight years of tutoring experience, she takes a personalized approach to make learning enjoyable and effective.
Her flexibility, dedication, and genuine care for her students’ success make her one of the most respected members of the ASVAB Tutoring team.

Saydia Hossain
Biology (Pre-Med), New York University
Saydia is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Biology on the pre-med track at New York University (NYU).
With two years of tutoring experience, she helps students develop strong study habits and positive learning attitudes. Saydia is known for her patience, reliability, and ability to make complex topics approachable.

Stephanie Hernandez
Nursing, New York University
Stephanie is currently completing her B.S. in Nursing at New York University. For the past three years, she has tutored middle and high school students, focusing on identifying strengths and improving weaknesses.
Her encouraging approach builds confidence and helps students achieve their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, Stephanie enjoys playing the violin and swimming.

Nirma Golder
Psychology, City College of New York
Nirma is a Psychology and Childhood Education major at the City College of New York. With years of tutoring experience, including her time as an instructor at Kumon Learning Center, she has worked with students of all abilities, including those with special needs.
Her individualized teaching style ensures that every child learns in a way that suits them best. Outside the classroom, Nirma enjoys dancing and creative arts.

Pias Das
Mechanical Engineer, Grand Valley State University
Pias is pursuing his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Grand Valley State University, Michigan.
For over four years, he has tutored high school students, helping them build confidence in challenging subjects. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading nonfiction and hiking.

Jaya Das
Computer Science, Stony Brook University
Jaya is working toward her B.S. in Computer Science at Stony Brook University. With extensive tutoring experience, she focuses on understanding each student’s learning style and customizing lessons to fit their needs.
Her commitment, patience, and clear communication have helped many students achieve academic success.

Serge Atadika
Computer Science, Longwood University
Serge is a Computer Science major at Longwood University, Virginia, and a U.S. Air Force prospect who scored in the 97th percentile on the AFQT.
He aims to join the U.S. Space Force after graduation. With his international background as a student-athlete, Serge brings a global perspective, humor, and flexibility to his tutoring style.
Fluent in English and French, he enjoys sports and music during his free time.
